REAL ID Deadline May 2025
Effective May 7, 2025, only the REAL ID, a U.S. passport and other federally approved identification will be required at TSA airport security checkpoints for domestic travel. Travelers without a REAL ID or Passport will not be able to pass through TSA checkpoints to board their flight.

Frontier Airlines Returns to TUS
The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) is delighted to welcome back Frontier Airlines to Tucson International Airport (TUS). Frontier Airlines announced new service from TUS to its hub at Denver International Airport (DEN). The service is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Flights will operate Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays each week onboard the Airbus A320 aircraft.
Frontier first served Southern Arizona in 1950. The airline has transformed into an ultra-low-cost carrier, allowing passengers to customize their travel needs. The launch of this new service provides a new ultra-low-cost flight options to more than 400 cities when flying out of TUS.

TUS in the Community: Tucson Roadrunners
The TAA is a proud partner of the Tucson Roadrunners. President/CEO Danette Bewley had the privilege of conducting the ceremonial puck drop on January 31,2025. This partnership is important, not only because hockey games are an important local attraction that draws tourism to our region, but also because the Roadrunners are loyal to TUS. Bob Hoffman, President of the Tucson Roadrunners is a strong advocate of TUS and ensures that when the team flies, they fly TUS! This partnership speaks to the importance of local business collaboration. Our sports teams play a critical role in our air service development goals as they bolster travel to and from our region.

Meet the Talented Erika Moreno
TUS Arts and Culture Program consists of a permanent collection, three changing exhibit galleries, and a performance arts program, Live@TUS. Erika Moreno is a current TUS temporary art exhibition participant.
Erika Moreno was raised in Nayarit, Mexico. She is a dedicated artist who embarked on her journey in the world of visual arts. In May 2024, she attained her BFA at the University of Arizona. Erika has exhibited her oil paintings in several group exhibitions in Arizona. Her artistry has been exhibited by nationally recognized organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association in Tucson, Arizona and Chick-fil-A.
Erika’s artistic focus is directed towards projects that support non-profit organizations, reflecting her commitment to using art as a force to positive change. Next year, she is looking forward to collaborating with Wright Flight Inc., a non-profit organization that offers a unique program that helps children in Arizona to succeed in their academic path, they provide a positive guidance that teaches students how to set new “goals, meet challenges, and change their lives to a successful future.”
Erika dedicates the majority of her time to her paintings in her studio, where she passionately creates work using her preferred medium and the traditional technique of oil painting.
