REAL ID Deadline May 7, 2025

Effective May 7, 2025, The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will begin REAL ID enforcement at Tucson International Airport (TUS) and all commercial service airports across the country.

Passengers who present state-issued identification that is not REAL ID compliant and who do not have another acceptable alternative approved identification for screening (ex: Military ID or Passport), will be processed through a separate line, resulting in additional screening.

“Tucson Reverie: A Vivid Tribute” Mural by Victor Navarro 

“Tucson Reverie: A Vivid Tribute” Mural by Victor Navarro celebrates its completion. This marvelous mural captures the vibrant spirit of Arizona, while showcasing a handful of historic Tucson landmarks. Navarro says, “This mural doesn’t just depict Tucson, it reimagines it, inviting the viewer to step into a living breathing vision of the city’s soul.”

Victor Navarro, who spent part of his childhood in Guadalajara, Mexico. As a first-generation immigrant from Mexico, Navarro expresses, "My artistic expressions and creative processes are always intertwined with my Hispanic Heritage.” Another inspiration for his art is the memories of listening to the mariachi, colorful adorations, and rhythmic folklorico dances. At the age of 16, Navarro displayed his first artwork series, "Mexico En La Piel" inspired by the traditional imagery of Mexico’s vibrant historical culture. In his recent artwork, the talented artist has represented the Sonoran Desert landscapes, Yaqui Deer Dancer, and folklorico traditions. The Arizona 2020 Governor's Arts Award recipient feels proud to represent the Hispanic culture, which he calls “nuestra cultura hispana.”
